The realization of a backlight for the ATARI Portfolio™, resp. DIP PocketPC was our first backlight project in 1996. We have been able to offer a subsequent backlight at a time this was not a standard at all.

Description

By installation of our backlight-kit the Portfolio™ receives a backlight.
It allows to work with your Portfolio™ under difficult illumination and even in total darkness.
With a small right side seated switch it is up to your decision when to make use of the backlight or not.
Carefully selected and power saving components keep the additional power consum low during backlight on.

Installation

You can assembly the backlight by yourself if you are technically skilled.
On the other hand if you are not skilled for that job you can damage your complete Portfolio™. (Our warranty doesn't cover this case.) You perhaps might ask some friends doing the assembly for you.
