Backlight Kits

In the beginning 90ties we collected our first experiences with subsequent installations of EL-backlights into the famous ATARI Portfolio™ handheld. 1996 we have been the first company worldwide offering a backlight-kit for this handheld for sale.

It was a big challenge for us to design a just 4 mm high driver circuit to fit into the flat display housing of the ATARI Portfolio™ besides the EL-panel.

Beginning 2001 we created another powersaving backlight-kit for the tiny Siemens IC35 palmtop. It included another and new driver circuit adopted to the very small ammount of space inside this device and its 3.3 Volt technology.

At the end of 2002 we have been proud to announce a backlight-kit for the HP100, HP200 and HP1000CX handheld series. This backlight-kit is the first one featured with a software-switch to enable or disable the backlight.

Mid 2003 first light was seen of the valuable and high quality backlight-replacement kit for APPLE's MessagePads 2000 and 2100 beating even the original panel in brightness and with a lifetime of min. 3000h.
